EXPERIENCE

As a trained and experienced journalist, Fraser is quite comfortable fronting up to CEOs, CIOs and the like, and asking the hard questions.

While he would never dream of haranguing your clients, they deliver much stronger quotes if gentle pressure is applied. This requires a fine sense of how an interview is going, as chances are the clients are being generous with time to begin with.

Striking this balance is crucial to generating a lively piece of writing, and something at which he is expert.

IT BACKGROUND

After an intensive few months with The New Zealand InfoTech Weekly, Fraser has a sound understanding of who's who and who does what in the world of IT.

This knowledge includes a good grasp of the hardware and software underlying the industry - I can tell you what 'PCMCIA' stands for, and am able to pronounce 'Linux'.

His ongoing fascination with the subject sees such websites as Aardvark, Slashdot and The Register featuring high up on his daily trawl of what's going on in the world.

Please take a few minutes to look over a brief portfolio including some of Fraser's work, as published in the New Zealand InfoTech Weekly over the past few months.

AN EYE FOR DETAIL

Helen and Fraser each come armed with a Bachelor of Arts (majoring in English Literature), and have a well developed appreciation for the written word and the grammatical complexity of stringing lots of them together.

On the editing front, Helen has had recent success taking "Bent not Broken" by Lauren Roche from a first draft to the polished form in which it climbed the best sellers list.
